What's the story

20-year-old Will Pucovski, who was hit on the head by a bouncer from Sean Abbott in the Sheffield Shield at Melbourne Cricket Ground, is eyeing a return to the game after achieving full recovery. The batsman was injured in the match between Victoria and New South Wales and is constantly being monitored by the medical staff. He was substituted by Daniel Christian for Victoria.

Pucovski hit on the head by a bouncer

The Victorian batsman was facing Sean Abbott at the MCG and in the second session of the day, the incident happened. Abbott bowled a bouncer in the 19th over of the Victorian innings and Pucovski tried to duck, but the ball hit the left side of his helmet. The medical staff escorted him out of the ground once he dropped down on his knees.

Past incidents of Pucovski's concussion

The youngster suffered his third concussion of the summer. Last season, he was struck on the head while fielding. He was struck once again during the side's One Day campaign in October, followed by another incident in November 2017.
