New Zealand narrowly defeated West Indies by nine runs in the third T20I in Nelson. The win puts New Zealand ahead 2-1 in the five-match series. Devon Conway (56 off 34 balls) and Daryl Mitchell (41 off 24 balls) led New Zealand to a total of 177/9. Ish Sodhi (3/34) was instrumental in restricting West Indies to 168/10 despite a late fightback from Shamar Springer and Romario Shepherd. With this spell, Sodhi became the third-leading wicket-taker in T20Is.
