A left-arm medium-pacer from Tonk, Rajasthan, Khaleel Ahmed, has represented India in both ODIs and T20Is. Growing up, Ahmed's parents wanted him to be a doctor, but from a young age, his only passion remained cricket. A bowler shaped by the lack of facilities in Tonk, his ability to bowl fast and hard made him someone to watch out for since his time in the Rajasthan Cricket Academy as a U-14 player. He was part of the BCCI Specialist Academy in Mohali. Soon, Ahmed became a regular in the U-19 setup. He was a part of the team for the 2016 Under-19 World Cup. Although he failed to make a substantial contribution, his talent was noticed by Rahul Dravid. Dravid, who was the coach of Delhi Daredevils at the time, picked him in the IPL auction in 2016. The experience he gained helped him excel in his first first-class and List A season for Rajasthan in 2017-2018. Ahmed made his international debut in an ODI against Hong Kong in 2018. His T20I debut came against West Indies in the same year.
