Born on February 16, 1991, Mayank Agarwal is a prolific opening batsman. He began his domestic career in 2010 with the T20 format. His contract with the IPL happened in 2011. In 2014, Agarwal faced some fitness issues and the management was reportedly not satisfied with his physique. So he took the time to focus on his training, got back in shape, and came back more confident. Since then, he went on to top the run charts. In 2017-18, Agarwal plundered over 1,000 runs in the Ranji Season. He also became the 13th captain of the Punjab Kings in 2021. Born in Bengaluru, Agarwal plays as a right-handed top-order batsman and made his international debut on December 26, 2018. Agarwal is also the third-choice opener for India in the shorter formats.
