Mbeumo played a key role in all three of Manchester United's wins last month. He started October by assisting Mason Mount in the 2-0 win over Sunderland. The winger then scored a goal just 62 seconds into the match against Liverpool, helping his side secure their first Premier League victory at Anfield since 2015. Mbeumo ended the month with a brace against Brighton & Hove Albion, making him United's top scorer in this season's Premier League with four goals.

Mbeumo's win also marks a double award victory for Manchester United, as head coach Amorim was also named Manager of the Month. This is the first time since November 2023 that the club has won at least two monthly awards. Mbeumo is also the first Manchester United player to win this award since Bruno Fernandes in March 2025. On the other hand, Amorim is the first United boss to win the Manager of the Month award since Erik ten Hag in November 2023.
