No modern Australian lineup is complete without a fearsome left-arm fast bowler. At first, it was Mitchell Johnson and his hostile deliveries. Then came another tall lad with the same first name as Johnson. Hailing from Sydney and aiming to become a wicketkeeper, it was chance and the great vision of some coaches that made Starc a modern-day fast bowling great. With an incredible work ethic coupled with his natural athletic ability, Starc made ripples in the domestic cricket circuit from an early age. He made his First-Class debut for New South Wales at the age of 19. Starc made his international debut in an ODI against India in 2010. He had to wait another full year to get his hands on the baggy green. His early days with the national team were underwhelming at best and this made him try his luck in county cricket. As it happened, the Starc that returned from Yorkshire was a different beast. He showcased the stark change in his bowling, the best in the 2015 ICC World Cup where he was the Player of the Tournament with 22 wickets.
