Born on May 9, 1987, Mushfiqur Rahim is a wicket-keeper batsman and former captain and vice-captain of the Bangladesh cricket team. Regarded as one of the most successful captains of the Bangladesh Test team, Rahim has several records under his belt. Rahim was born in Bogra and completed his education at Jahangirnagar University. He made his international Test debut in 2005 against England, and One Day International (ODI) debut, and T20 International (T20I) debut in 2006. As of 2021, Rahim has played 394 international matches and has scored 15 centuries and 68 half-centuries. Rahim holds the record for being the first and only wicket-keeper batsman to score two double hundreds in Test cricket. He is also the first and only Bangladeshi player to score three double-hundreds in Test cricket and to win 150 international matches. A football fanatic, Rahim is a fan of football team FC Barcelona, and football player Messi. He represents the Rajshahi Division in domestic cricket.
