Women's singles badminton ace He Bingjiao of China has reached the final at 2024 Paris Olympics. Bingjiao, who ousted PV Sindhu in the round of 16, was trailing Spain's Carolina Marin in the semi-final. Marin dismantled Bingjiao 21-14 in the first game. Thereafter, she was leading 10-8. However, it was heartbreak for the Spaniard as she was forced to retire with a knee injury.

Notably, the 31-year-old Marin suffered from anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries on both her knees in the past.
