What's the story

Rajasthan Royals are in need of a victory and things won't be easy when they welcome Indian Premier League leaders Chennai Super Kings. After the heavy defeat against Kolkata, the Royals will be tested immensely by MS Dhoni and his boys, who are riding high on confidence. Fans, who are playing Dream11, will be looking to pick the winning team. We decode the same.

Batting

Faf du Plessis, Smith lead the world-class batting unit

We have gone for Faf du Plessis as the skipper of this Dream11 side. He has been on song since coming into the side. Faf is joined by the aggressive wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler at the top. Shane Watson comes in next and brings more balance. Steve Smith is looking strong and can produce the goods. Kedar Jadhav comes in as the finisher.

Information

Gowtham and Jadeja are the all-rounders

We have gone for two all-rounders. Experienced Ravindra Jadeja comes in as a valuable member of this team. He has been bowling and fielding well as expected. Krishnappa Gowtham will support Jadeja in this XI. RR will want him to deliver.

Bowling unit

Here's a look at the bowling unit

We have gone for a four-man bowling attack. Deepak Chahar has been CSK's trump card with the ball and he could once again be key during the power-play. Chahar will be supported by Jofra Archer in the pace department. We have gone ahead with two spinners in Imran Tahir and Shreyas Gopal. Both the players have been excellent in terms of picking up wickets.

Prediction

Predicted starting XI and possible winner

Predicted RR XI: Buttler (wicket-keeper), Rahane (captain), Smith, Samson, Tripathi, Stokes, Gowtham, Lomror, Archer, Gopal and Kulkarni. Predicted CSK XI: Faf du Plessis, Watson, Raina, Rayudu, Jadhav, Dhoni (captain and wicket-keeper), Jadeja, Scott Kuggeleijn, Harbhajan, Chahar and Tahir. We feel CSK go in as the favorites to win this tie. The momentum coupled with the inconsistency of the Royals could help MS Dhoni's team.
