What's the story

Sayali Satghare, a Mumbai-based pace-bowling all-rounder, made her Test debut for India in the ongoing one-off pink-ball match against Australia at the WACA in Perth. She finished with four wickets as Australia were folded for 323 after India's 198. This was a stupendous show from Satghare on her debut. She was the pick of the Indian bowlers as the visitors claimed 7 scalps on Day 2 after Australia were 96/3 at stumps on Day 1.

Match performance

Satghare's sensational start to Test career

Satghare's debut in the pink-ball Test was an ideal start to the longest format of cricket. She took just seven deliveries to make an impact. She dismissed Georgia Voll with an inswinger that pitched outside off-stump before swinging back into the right-hander's pads and hitting leg stump. She didn't stop at just one wicket and went on to take her second scalp, that of Alyssa Healy, in the 20th over. The remaining of her two wickets came on Day 2.
