Sri Lanka and South Africa will meet in their respective tournament opener (Match 4) of the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup. Both teams would want to get off to a winning start. SA are certainly the better side in terms of on-paper strength and overall team balance. However, the Lankans can also spring in a few surprises. Here is the match preview.

The newly-constructed Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York will host this Group D duel on June 3 (8:00pm IST). As the venue hasn't hosted any games yet, the nature of the track is difficult to determine. Notably, drop-in tracks from Australia have been installed here.
