WWE: Lesnar would beat Velasquez at Crown Jewel- Here's why

The WWE Universe is all charged up as the reigning Champion Brock Lesnar is set to defend his title against Cain Velasquez at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view. While the fans are excited to see this thrilling contest between two former UFC rivals, things are bound to be different in WWE. On the same note, we analyze as to why Lesnar would retain the title.

WWE is not UFC, and vice-versa

The first and foremost reason is that UFC is way different from WWE, with the latter being a form of sports-entertainment. UFC is Mixed-Martial Arts (MMA), while WWE is pro-wrestling. With both belonging to different genres, it looks unlikely that Velasquez would come out on top against Lesnar this term. With Lesnar being a force to reckon with in WWE, he has massive advantage.

Nine years is a long time

It has been nine years since these two faced-off inside the octagon of UFC, where Velasquez emerged victorious, as he won the UFC World Heavyweight Championship. However, things have changed since then, as Lesnar has undoubtedly asserted his dominance in WWE. So a WWE novice like Velasquez would need a miracle to overcome a strong challenge from Lesnar.

Velasquez is inexperienced, won't get the championship

It hasn't even been a month since Velasquez made his shocking WWE debut. Further, he is yet to have a proper one-on-one fight. And, he is going right after the championship in his debut match against Lesnar. While he has been training hard to be match ready, he is still relatively inexperienced, which is ought to give Lesnar an advantage.

No point making Lesnar lose the title so quick

Less than 30 days ago, Lesnar won the championship from Kofi Kingston. Therefore, it would make no sense for a top guy like Lesnar to drop the title so quickly and that too to an inexperienced guy like Velasquez. The same is the case with Velasquez, as making him win the title so early would mean an overpush.

Lesnar to headline SmackDown, Velasquez for Raw

Having been drafted to SmackDown, Lesnar is the top guy and would lead the blue brand, especially as the WWE champion. In the same light, there would be no point putting Velasquez on the same show, as the latter would be overshadowed by his success. Instead, moving him to Raw would help Velasquez become the top guy in the red brand.
