Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a blistering third-innings century for Mumbai in his first Ranji Trophy match since January 2025. The game is being played against Rajasthan at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Jaiswal's IPL home ground. He resumed from his overnight half-century and reached the three-figure mark on Day 4 before getting dismissed for 156. This was his 17th hundred in First-Class cricket. Here are his stats.

Jaiswal's knock was nothing but timely as Rajasthan had declared at a massive 617/6 while responding to Mumbai's first innings total of 254/10. Mumbai's second innings was off to a fine start with openers Jaiswal and Musheer Khan (63) adding 142 runs. The former, who dominated the opening stand, continued the good work and touched the three-figure mark on Day 4. He eventually departed for 156 off 174 balls, a knock laced with 18 fours and a six.

Apart from his batting heroics, Jaiswal also made a mark with the ball by dismissing Rajasthan's top-scorer Deepak Hooda on 248. Notably, the century against Rajasthan is his second 50-plus score of the game. He had scored 67 in the first innings.

Fifth Ranji Trophy ton and 1,000 runs

As per the Indian Express, this century was Jaiswal's fifth for Mumbai in just 21 innings of Ranji Trophy cricket since his debut in 2019. The southpaw has a total of 17 First Class centuries to his name, including seven Test tons. This particular inning also helped him cross the milestone of 1,000 runs in the Ranji Trophy at an average of over 57 across 11 matches.

17th hundred in FC cricket 

As mentioned, this was his 17th hundred in First-Class cricket as he also boasts as many fifties. Playing his 47th game as per ESPNcricinfo, the batter has completed 4,743 runs at an average of around 56. 2,428 of his runs have come in Test cricket for India at 51.65. He made his Test debut in July 2023, and has been a vital part of the team ever since.

As per Cricbuzz, Jaiswal boasts the joint-fourth-most Test tons before turning 24 (7). He is only behind Don Bradman (12), Sachin Tendulkar (11), and Garfield Sobers (9). Javed Miandad, Graeme Smith, Alastair Cook, and Kane Williamson also had seven centuries each. No other opener has scored even five Test tons since Jaiswal's Test debut in July 2023.
