'Won't forgive him...': Yograj Singh once again slams MS Dhoni

    What's the story

Yograj Singh, father of renowned cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has once again publicly criticized former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

This time, he accused Dhoni of adversely affecting his son's career after 2014.

This claim comes despite Yuvraj's significant contributions to India's title-winning victories in the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup under Dhoni.

Yograj believes that Dhoni's influence on team selection decisions led to a premature end to Yuvraj's successful stint with the national team.

    Accusations

    Yograj's strong criticism of Dhoni

Yograj's anger against Dhoni was on display as he spoke in an interview with the Zee Switch YouTube channel.

He stated, "I won't forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror."

He further accused Dhoni of ruining his son's career, claiming that Yuvraj could have played for an additional four to five years.

"That man has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more," added Yograj.

    Recognition

Yuvraj should get Bharat Ratna: Yograj

Yograj also believes that his son should be rewarded with the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor.

He stated, "I dare everyone to give birth to a son like Yuvraj."

Yograj added that players like Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have reiterated that there won't be another player like Yuvraj.

"India should award him the Bharat Ratna for playing with cancer and winning the World Cup for the country," he stated.

    Legacy

    Yuvraj Singh's career and achievements

Yuvraj Singh emerged as one of the most prodigious white-ball batters in the early 2000s.

Arguably the cleanest striker of the cricket ball, Yuvraj helped India win the coveted ICC World Cup after 28 years (in 2011), with his all-round exploits.

He also starred in India's 2007 T20 World Cup titular win.

In 2011, Yuvraj was diagnosed with "mediastinal seminoma", a germ-cell tumor located between his two lungs.

He defeated the deadly cancer and returned to the field thereafter.

    Criticism

Yograj's criticism extends to Kapil Dev

In addition to his criticism of Dhoni, Yograj also targeted another former Indian captain, Kapil Dev.

He claimed that Yuvraj's achievements surpassed those of Kapil and suggested that Yuvraj's success was a form of "revenge."

This has sparked backlash on social media, revealing Yograj's lingering resentment toward these cricket figures.

"The greatest captain of our time, Kapil Dev... I told him, I'll leave you in a position where the world would curse you," said Yograj.
