Chinese condoms too small for our men: Zimbabwean Health Minister

Turns out size matters. More so if it's a Chinese condom you are trying to fit on a Zimbabwean penis. The problem is so real in the African nation, which heavily imports condoms from China, that Zimbabwean Health Minister David Parirenyatwa has requested local manufacturers to come up with an indigenous alternative that's more suitable for his countrymen. Read on for more.

Here's what the Zimbabwean Health Minister had to say

According to a report in Indian Express, Parirenyatwa, at a recent launch event, said, "Youths now have a particular condom that they like, but we don't manufacture them. We import condoms from China and some men complain they are too small".

South Asian, European men have smaller penises than Africans: Study

Interestingly, a 2012 study titled 'Personality and Individual Differences' claimed that South Asian and European men had smaller penis than Africans. As per it, men from the Republic of Congo were the most well-endowed at 7.1 inches. Those from Ecuador, Ghana and Colombia followed next.

Chinese manufacturers making amends post Zimbabwe's condom criticism

Looks like the news of their condoms being unsatisfactory has reached China. Not wanting to lose out on a large market, Daxiang, a popular condom manufacturer has promised to roll out the male contraceptive in varying sizes especially for its Zimbabwean customers. It has already begun surveying "users' data in the region to make preparations for future products", reported South China Morning Post.

Zimbabwe not the first country to complain about Chinese condoms

However, Zimbabwe is hardly the first nation to get miffed about the poor quality or the unsuitability of Chinese condoms. In 2013, Ghana reportedly faced 'serious health issues' after over 1 million Chinese condoms were found faulty, with either holes or poor resistance.
