UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham urges fresh EU rethink

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham is calling for a fresh look at how Britain works with the European Union.

At the Labour Party conference, he said Brexit hasn't really helped the economy or fixed immigration, and it might be time to talk about reconnecting with Europe, even possibly rejoining the EU's single market or customs union.

He also stressed that any changes would respect promises made in 2024 to stay out of those agreements.
