Hyundai has finally launched the 2019 edition of its premium sedan, the Elantra, in India.
Priced at Rs. 15.89 lakh, the car offers features such as ventilated seats, Blue Link connected car technology, wireless charging, and packs a BS6-compliant petrol engine.
Notably, it is available in four variants: S, SX, SX AT, and SX(O) AT.

2019 Hyundai Elantra: At a glance
The 2019 Elantra gets a bunch of design updates including revamped front as well as rear bumpers, a new cascading grille, and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The sedan houses triangular LED headlamps with DRLs, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and new angular LED taillights.
Further, to add to its premiumness, it gets chrome work on the door handles and around the windows.

A bit about the Blue Link connected features
The Blue Link technology offers up to 34 connected car features, out of which 10 have been exclusively developed for India.
The connectivity features on the car include auto crash notification, panic alert, SOS/emergency assistance, live car tracking, and geo-fencing.
Further, the system is able to track driving behavior and comes with AI-enabled voice recognition feature as well.
Power and performance
The 2019 Hyundai Elantra is powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-liter petrol engine which is capable of producing 150bhp of power at 6,200rpm and 192Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm.
Also, the sedan is available with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission options and promises an ARAI-certified mileage of 14.60kmpl.
2019 Hyundai Elantra: On the road
The all-new Elantra comes equipped with disc brakes on all wheels along with ABS, EBD, and traction control for better road handling.
The car offers six airbags and houses a rearview camera as well as front and rear sensors for parking assistance.
It also gets a bunch of optional driver-assist features including Hill assist control, vehicle stability management, and electronic stability control.

As for the pocket pinch, the 2019 Hyundai Elantra starts at Rs. 15.89 lakh for the basic SX variant and goes upto Rs. 20.39 lakh for the SX(O) AT model.
The company has started accepting the bookings for the sedan on its official website at a token amount of Rs. 25,000.
