2022 KTM 890 DUKE R, with 121hp engine, breaks cover
Austrian automaker KTM has unveiled the 2022 version of its 890 DUKE R motorbike for the international markets. It should also arrive in India. As for the highlights, the vehicle has an aggressive design and offers several electronic riding aids including cornering ABS. It draws power from an 889cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 121hp.

It packs a digital instrument console, a full-LED lighting setup, and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Power Cup 2 tires. It flaunts an Atlantic Blue shade and weighs 166kg.
The new KTM 890 DUKE R is powered by an 889cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 121hp and a peak torque of 99Nm. The mill is linked to a 6-speed gearbox with a PASC anti-hopping clutch.
The KTM 890 DUKE R is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and four riding modes of Rain, Street, Sport, and Track. Suspension duties on the bike are handled by 43mm inverted forks on the front side and a shock absorber with adjustable preload on the rear end.
The pricing and availability details of the new KTM 890 DUKE R in India will be disclosed at the time of its launch. However, it is tipped to carry a price-tag of around Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
