Ford announces Fathom all electric pickup for 2027 priced $28,350
Auto
Ford just announced the Fathom, an all-electric pickup truck dropping in 2027 with a starting price of $28,350 (before fees).
Revealed on August 6, it's part of Ford's push to offer more budget-friendly EVs, so you won't have to break the bank to go electric.
Fathom uses Ford's universal EV platform
Fathom is the first ride built on Ford's Universal EV platform, a flexible setup that keeps costs down by using modular parts. Production kicks off in Kentucky in 2027.
Inside, expect plenty of room (more than a Toyota RAV4) and features like hands-free driving and over-the-air updates.
Ford has put $5 billion into this project, so it's clearly betting big on making EVs mainstream.
