To commemorate its 100 millionth cumulative production milestone, Hero MotoCorp has launched a 100 Million Edition of its Glamour motorcycle in India. The new variant sports a dual-tone red and white paintwork, and checkered flag graphics on the fuel tank, headlight cowl, as well as the rear panel. However, the rest of the bike is identical to the standard model. Here's our roundup.
The Hero Glamour 100 Million Edition has a simple commuter look, featuring a muscular fuel tank with extensions, a single-piece seat, a lengthy exhaust, dual-tone paint job, and sporty graphics. The bike packs a semi-digital instrument cluster, a halogen headlamp, a LED taillight, and rides on split-style alloy wheels. It has a 10-liter fuel tank and tips the scales at 123kg.
The Hero Glamour 100 Million Edition draws power from a BS6-compliant 124.7cc, single-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 10.7hp at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The mill is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
To ensure the safety of the rider, the Hero Glamour 100 Million Edition is equipped with a disc/drum brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear wheel. Suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and 5-step adjustable hydraulic twin-shock absorbers on the rear end.
In India, the drum brake version of the Hero Glamour 100 Million Edition carries a price-tag of Rs. 73,700 while the disc brake variant sports a price-figure of Rs. 77,200 (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
