What's the story

Jaguar has taken the wraps off the 2024 F-Type ZP Edition for the global markets. This limited-run model is a special send-off for the British automaker's internal combustion engine (ICE) sports cars. Available in both coupe and convertible styles, the car boasts a supercharged V8 engine. With only 150 units set to be made, it's the last of its kind before Jaguar goes all-electric in 2025. The F-Type ZP Edition is a nod to the company's rich sports car history.

Design

Exclusive design elements pay homage to the iconic 1961 E-Type

Jaguar's SV Bespoke group has crafted unique design elements for the limited-run F-Type. The ZP Edition is available in two exclusive colors: Oulton Blue Gloss and Crystal Grey Gloss, harking back to the iconic E-Type's early days. Hand-painted roundels on the doors and white grille surrounds pay homage to the E-Type race cars that debuted in 1961. Inside, it gets a two-tone color scheme: red and black for the blue exterior, and blue and black for the grey exterior.

Performance

It is fueled by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine

Under the hood, the 2024 Jaguar F-Type ZP Edition shares the same mechanical components as the F-Type R in the P575 trim. It draws power from a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 engine that pumps out 575hp of maximum power and 700Nm of peak torque. A ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels via an all-wheel-drive system, allowing the special-edition model to sprint from 0-96km/h in just 3.5 seconds.

Pricing

Pricing and availability details are yet to be announced

Jaguar is yet to disclose the details regarding pricing or how many coupes versus convertibles will be made for the limited-production F-Type ZP Edition. For reference, the standard 2024 F-Type R P575 variant starts at $114,275 (around Rs. 95 lakh), including a $1,275 destination fee in the US. With only 150 units set to be produced, the ZP Edition is a fitting tribute to the carmaker's ICE sports car legacy before the company goes full throttle on electric vehicle production.
