Maruti Suzuki recalls 39,506 Grand Vitara SUVs over fuel gage glitch
Maruti Suzuki is recalling nearly 40,000 Grand Vitara SUVs made between December 2024 and April 2025 because of a speedometer issue that can mess up fuel readings and warning lights.
This glitch could mislead drivers about the actual fuel level, so the company is stepping in to fix it.
What should owners do?
If you've got one of these SUVs, Maruti will reach out directly for a free check and replacement at their service centers—no charge at all.

The Grand Vitara is still going strong
Even with this recall, the Grand Vitara's popularity hasn't dipped—it's sold over 300,000 units in just 32 months.
Hybrid versions are especially hot right now, helping boost sales by 43% in FY24-25.
Maruti's also showing off new tech features with its latest 'Driven by Tech' campaign, keeping safety and innovation in the spotlight.
