Maruti Suzuki reports record 2.5 lakh bookings this festive season

Auto

Maruti Suzuki just had its best festive season in a decade, with 2.5 lakh cars booked and deliveries expected to double last year's numbers.
The big boost? GST rate cuts from September 22 made buying a car during Navratri and Dussehra way more appealing.

Maruti set a new record this Navratri

In the first eight days of Navratri, Maruti delivered 1.65 lakh vehicles and aimed for two lakh by Dussehra (October 2).
They even set a new record: 30,000 cars out the door on just the first day of Navratri—a number not seen in over 30 years.
To keep up, Maruti had teams working overtime to clear backlogs.

Exports and small car sales doubled

Exports jumped by 50% to reach 42,000 units this season, while small car sales doubled across India.
Metro cities saw demand spike by up to 40%, with over 100 cities buzzing thanks to faster loan approvals and speedy deliveries from dealers and finance partners.
