Mercedes recalls majority of AMG One hypercars due to fire hazard
Mercedes-AMG is recalling 219 AMG One hypercars—almost 80% of all made—because a missing pin lock in the rear spoiler's hydraulic line could cause leaks and even fires if fluid touches hot engine parts.
Most affected cars were built between December 12, 2022, and May 9, 2025, mainly in Germany.
TL;DR
AMG asked to check cars for pin lock
Owners are being asked to get their cars checked for the pin lock; fixing it should take about 90 minutes.
This recall isn't about the car's high-tech Formula 1-inspired engine or hybrid system. And while two AMG Ones have caught fire before, Mercedes-AMG says those cases weren't linked to this issue.
If you're lucky enough to own one, it's a good idea to book that repair soon.
