MG S9 is world's 1st 3-row plug-in hybrid: Details here
MG just dropped the S9, its first three-row plug-in-hybrid globally, and availability in India has not yet been announced.
This plug-in hybrid mixes a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine with an electric motor and a big 24.7-kWh battery, so you get up to 100km of pure-electric driving for daily trips and a punchy 327hp when you need more power.
The SUV fits 7 people across 3 rows
The S9 fits seven people across three rows, and the trunk is roughly 322-332-liter with all seven seats in use and more than 1,000-liter with the third row folded.
Inside, there are dual 12.3-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, tri-zone climate control, wireless smartphone connectivity (Android Auto/Apple CarPlay) and multiple USB/charging ports, and loads of connectivity options.
It has a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating
With a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating and advanced driver-assist features, the S9 keeps things secure on the road.
It's expected to be priced as an affordable rival to SUVs like the Skoda Kodiaq and Peugeot 5008 in the UK.
And since it's a plug-in hybrid, you get electric flexibility without worrying about running out of charge on longer drives.
