Nissan recalls 443,899 vehicles due to engine defect
Nissan is recalling about 443,899 cars in the US because of a manufacturing defect that could cause the engine to suddenly fail—definitely not something you want happening on the road.
The recall covers certain years of popular models like the Nissan Rogue, Altima, Infiniti QX50, and Infiniti QX55.
Recall affects models like Rogue and Altima
The issue comes down to some faulty engine parts that might get damaged and make the whole engine shut down while driving.
Only about 1.2% of these cars are expected to have this problem, but Nissan isn't taking any chances—they'll inspect and fix affected vehicles for free.
No reported crashes or injuries so far
If you drive one of these models, it's best to book an inspection with your dealer ASAP.
Thankfully, there haven't been any reported crashes or injuries so far.
Still, with this being one of the biggest recalls of 2025 already, it's a good reminder to stay on top of car safety updates.
