Ola Electric initiates 'Network Partner Program' to boost EV adoption
Ola Electric, a prominent player in the electric scooter market, has launched its 'Network Partner Program.' This initiative aims to extend the electric vehicle (EV) revolution into tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The program is specifically designed for areas where EV adoption is still relatively low. As part of this strategy, Ola Electric has already integrated 625 partners into its sales network across India.
Ola Electric's expansion plans for the festive season
Ola Electric is planning to increase its partner count to 1,000 before this year's festive season. The company also has an ambitious plan to expand its network by integrating 10,000 partners across sales and service by the end of 2025. This move is expected to give Ola Electric a competitive edge over other players in the market due to its scalability and low investment requirements from partners.
Ola Electric's network to reach 1,800 touchpoints
Currently, Ola Electric operates nearly 800 company-owned stores across the country. With the implementation of the 'Network Partner Program,' the company is set to have close to 1,800 sales and service touchpoints before the upcoming festive season. This expansion will significantly increase its market presence and accessibility for potential EV buyers in India.
Ola Electric's D2C model and future expansion plans
Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and MD of Ola Electric, highlighted the success of their direct-to-consumer (D2C) model in driving sustainable business growth. He stated that the 'Network Partner Program' will enhance the benefits of their D2C network as it requires limited capital investment from partners and can be scaled up quickly. Aggarwal emphasized that while company-owned stores will remain anchors for their sales and service network, this program will play a crucial role in expanding the EV footprint into more markets.
Ola Electric's product portfolio and future plans
Ola Electric offers a diverse S1 portfolio with six models across various price points to cater to customers with different range requirements. The company recently introduced its Roadster motorcycle series, which includes many segment-first technology and performance features. Ola Electric plans to use the 'Network Partner Program' for sales and service of its upcoming Roadster portfolio, further deepening EV penetration in the motorcycle segment across India.
