Tata Nexon EV becomes costlier in India: Check new prices

Homegrown automaker Tata Motors has raised the prices of its Nexon EV SUV in India. Following the latest price-revision, the four-wheeler has become costlier by Rs. 25,000 and now starts at Rs. 14.54 lakh. As for the highlights, the car has a sporty look, a feature-loaded cabin, and is fueled by an electric powertrain that promises a range of 312km per charge.
- The Tata Nexon EV is quite a popular electric car in India; it crossed the 13,500-unit sales milestone this January. Raising the car's price might prompt potential buyers to look for alternatives or wait for discounts.
- The Nexon EV offers good looks and decent performance. It takes on rivals such as the MG ZS EV and Hyundai KONA Electric.
Tata Nexon EV sports a muscular hood, a sleek grille, a wide air vent, and projector headlights. It is flanked by roof rails, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and 16-inch alloy wheels. A shark-fin antenna and wrap-around LED taillights are available on the rear end. The car is offered in Teal Blue, Midnight Black, Glacier White as well as a Dark Edition version.
Tata Nexon EV packs a 3-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor paired with a 30.2kWh battery pack that can be charged from 0-80% in an hour. The powertrain delivers a combined output of 127hp/245Nm. The car promises a range of 312km per charge.
The Tata Nexon EV has a spacious 5-seater cabin, featuring a leather-wrapped power steering wheel, auto climate control, parking sensors, and key-less entry. It packs a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The safety of the passengers is ensured by two airbags, ABS, a rear-view camera, crash sensors, and a vehicle stability control system.
Following the latest price-hike in India, the Tata Nexon EV begins at Rs. 14.54 lakh for the base XM variant and goes up to Rs. 17.15 lakh for the top-spec XZ+ Lux Dark Edition model (all prices, ex-showroom).
