Specialized recalls e-bikes over seat post failure
Specialized is recalling about 11,100 Globe-branded Haul ST and Haul LT e-bikes sold in the US from January 2023 to March 2023.
The problem? The seat post can snap if you extend it all the way, which could cause a nasty fall.
How to check if your bike is affected
There have been 13 reports of the seat post breaking, with two people getting minor scrapes and bruises.
If your bike says "Haul ST" or "Haul LT" on the frame, stop riding it for now.
Specialized will swap out your seat post for a sturdier one—just head to an authorized dealer or book a repair online.
