Suzuki V-Strom SX adventure tourer launched at Rs. 2.1 lakh
Japanese automaker Suzuki has launched the V-Strom SX adventure tourer sports bike in India. This marks the company's entry into the country's 250cc adventure sports segment. Part of the company's dual-sport range, the V-Strom 250 has been in production in international markets since 2017. The bike is powered by the same single-cylinder 249cc engine that also powers the Gixxer 250 and SF250 models.
- India has been witnessing a marked rise in demand for dual-purpose adventure bikes recently. With the V-Strom SX, Suzuki aims to take advantage of this growing demand.
- The V-Strom SX 250 claims to have similar capabilities as its big brother, the V-Strom 650XT, but at an affordable price.
- It will take on rivals such as KTM 250 Adventure and Benelli TRK 251, among others.
The Suzuki V-Strom SX has a rugged design with an upright riding stance, a sculpted fuel tank, a prominent beak, a raised windscreen, knuckle covers, a split-style seat, an upswept all-black exhaust, and sporty graphics on the side panel. It packs a fully-digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and an all-LED lighting setup. The bike is available in Yellow, Orange, and Black shades.
The Suzuki V-Strom SX draws power from a 249cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The mill generates 26.1hp of maximum power at 9,300rpm and 22.2Nm of peak torque at 7,300rpm.
In terms of safety equipment, the Suzuki V-Strom SX is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS for better handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the bike are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a swingarm-linked mono shock unit on the rear end.
In India, the Suzuki V-Strom SX adventure tourer carries a price-tag of Rs. 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike is now available for booking via Suzuki dealerships.
