    What's the story

Tata Motors's Altroz Racer Edition, initially shown in its production-ready form at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Show, is nearing its official launch.

This new hatchback model is set to compete directly with the N Line version of the Hyundai i20.

The Altroz Racer Edition distinguishes itself with a race car-inspired design, high-end equipment, and a 120hp turbo-petrol engine.

    Exteriors

It has a striking visual appeal

The Altroz Racer Edition offers a more captivating profile than its standard version, featuring a dual-tone color scheme that separates the top and lower sections of the hatchback.

Spy shots of a test mule reveal a blacked-out roof, pillars, ORVMs, rear spoiler, and hood.

The body paneling is highlighted by a vibrant orange shade, while white racing stripes on the roof and bonnet, along with black alloy wheels enhance its overall appeal.

    Inside

    What about the interiors?

The interior of the Altroz Racer Edition exudes sophistication with a granite black theme.

Red accents are visible on the center console, dashboard, and AC vents, while red and white racing stripes adorn the seats.

The aesthetic appeal is further enhanced by red stitching on the seats and steering wheel.

'Racer' badging on the front seat headrests, as well as red ambient lighting contribute to an overall sporty ambiance.

    Specifications

    Tech features and performance

The Altroz Racer Edition comes equipped with premium features like an electric sunroof with voice assistance, an air purifier, a wireless charger, and ventilated leatherette seats.

It also includes a 7.0-inch TFT digital cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Safety features include six airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), and a reverse parking camera.

The car is powered by a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine that puts out 120hp of maximum power and 170Nm of peak torque.
