    What's the story

Triumph has taken the wraps off its cafe racer motorcycle, the Thruxton RS, at the ongoing EICMA show in Italy.

The retro-styled tourer comes with a more powerful engine, improved electronic riding aids, and high-performance braking as well as suspension setup.

Notably, the British automaker is expected to launch the motorcycle in India sometime in 2020.

    Here's our roundup.

    Design

Triumph Thruxton RS: At a glance

Triumph Thruxton RS sports a naked street design with a matte finish, dual exhausts, golden-colored front forks, and a single type seat.

The rounded headlamps, handlebar-attached mirrors, exposed engine, as well as spoked wheels further accentuate the retro look of the cafe racer.

As for electronic features, the motorcycle gets a digital-analog instrument cluster and an all-LED lighting setup.

    Power and performance

The Triumph Thruxton RS is powered by a 1,200cc, parallel-twin engine which is capable of producing 103bhp of power and 112Nm of peak torque.

For transmission duties, the motorcycle gets a six-speed manual gearbox along with multi-plate assist clutch.

Furthermore, the bike also offers three riding modes: Sport, Road and Rain.

    Safety

Triumph Thruxton RS: On the road

In the safety department, Triumph Thruxton RS comes equipped with Brembo-sourced disc brakes on both front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS and traction control for improved road handling.

The motorcycle also gets Showa's inverted forks on the front and Ohlins' dual-shock unit on the rear to handle the suspension duties.

    Pricing

And, how much will it cost?

There is no official word on the pricing and availability of Triumph Thruxton RS in the international markets. However, the company might introduce the retro-styled tourer in India sometime next year.

As for pricing, it is likely to come at a slightly higher price than the Thruxton R which sells at Rs. 12.15 lakh.
