Wind turbine makers seek uninterrupted LPG supply
India's wind turbine industry has asked the government to make sure it gets a reliable supply of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), which is crucial for making key parts like castings, towers, and structural components.
Without enough LPG, manufacturers say it's tough to keep up with the high-temperature processes needed for building wind turbines.
IWTMA's plea comes amid global uncertainties
The industry is worried that global tensions could mess with LPG prices and availability, potentially slowing down India's renewable energy projects.
IWTMA CEO Aditya Pyasi stressed that ensuring uninterrupted availability of LPG is critical as India pushes to boost local content in wind projects.
This isn't just about clean energy: it's also about creating jobs and helping India grab a bigger slice of the global wind market.
