BSE launches India's 1st Saatvik 100 index tracking ethical firms
BSE Index Services Pvt. Ltd. just rolled out the BSE Saatvik 100 Index, the first of its kind in India to track companies that follow strong ethical and value-based principles.
Pulled from the BSE 500 Index, this new index is all about spotlighting businesses that put values front and center.
It starts at a base value of 1,000 and gets updated every June and December.
Saatvik 100 designed for ethics-aligned funds
With over one-third of its weight in financial services, the Saatvik 100 is designed for folks who want their investments to reflect their ethics: think ETFs, index funds, or even as a benchmark for mutual funds.
As Ashutosh Singh, MD & CEO, BSE Index Services Pvt. Ltd., put it, the launch of the BSE Saatvik 100 Index marks an important step in broadening the range of thematic indices available to investors seeking alignment between their investment decisions and value-based principles.
