China's Envision Group is bringing a 5GWh battery plant to India

Envision Group from China is considering investing $34 million (about ₹280 crore) to build a new battery factory in India.
The plant will assemble racks and software infrastructure for grid-scale energy storage—helping India move closer to its green energy goals and making the power grid more reliable.

The new facility is planned to supply 5 GWh of battery storage each year.
Right now, India's battery storage is under 1 GW, but it's expected to jump to 46 GW by 2032.
