Cognizant and Microsoft join forces to bring AI to the workplace

Business

Cognizant and Microsoft recently announced a multi-year partnership to build and sell advanced AI tools for businesses around the world.
They're focusing on industries like Financial Services, Healthcare and Life Sciences, Retail, and Manufacturing.
As part of this move, Cognizant has purchased 25,000 Microsoft 365 Copilot seats—Microsoft's AI-powered productivity assistant.

Rolling out Copilot to millions (literally)

Cognizant isn't stopping with its own team—they plan to bring Microsoft 365 Copilot to one million users across 2,000 clients in 11 different industries.
Using tools like Copilot Studio, they'll help companies customize how they use AI in their daily work.
Their platforms (like TriZetto and FlowSource) will be upgraded with these new AI features too.

Big investment in upskilling for the AI era

To make all this happen, Cognizant is putting $1 billion into generative AI over the next three years.
They're using Microsoft's Azure cloud tech for training and have already trained 35,000 developers on GitHub Copilot—with plans for another 40,000 soon.
The goal? Help businesses actually use AI at scale without getting stuck on technical hurdles.
