EyeROV's underwater drone to boost Indian Navy's deep-sea surveillance
Kochi-based startup EyeROV just scored a ₹47 crore contract with the Indian Navy to supply advanced underwater drones.
These Remotely Operated Vehicles (UWROVs) will boost the Navy's ability to carry out deep-sea surveillance and reconnaissance as deep as 300 meters—a major milestone for a company founded by Johns T Mathai and Kannappa P back in 2017.
TROUT drone has been tested in Antarctic waters
EyeROV's TROUT drone isn't just tough—it's been tested everywhere from choppy seas to Antarctic waters, showing it can handle serious missions.
The tech is already trusted by big names like DRDO, the Coast Guard, and CSIR, with over 100 deployments worldwide.
With support from iDEX and the Navy, EyeROV is helping push India toward homegrown defense tech—and that's a pretty big deal for self-reliance.
