GenAI gains momentum in Indian companies
A new AWS study reveals that nearly two-thirds of Indian firms are planning to invest in generative AI by 2025.
Despite this big push, most companies don't have clear plans for helping their teams pick up the right AI skills, leading to a major talent shortage—there's only one qualified person for every 10 open roles.
To help bridge the gap, AWS launched the India Tech Alliance last year to train over 5,000 people in core AI skills and prompt engineering.
AI is shaking things up at work
AI is shaking things up at work: about 38 million jobs in India could be impacted, and productivity might get a boost of around 2.6%.
Companies are also getting serious about leadership—83% already have Chief AI Officers and more plan to hire soon.
As Amazon CEO Andy Jassy indicated, AI is making businesses run smarter, with generative AI being used inside Amazon itself.
