India proposes BRICS incubator network and startup innovation fund
At the 10th BRICS Industry Ministers's Meeting in Jaipur, India suggested creating a BRICS Incubator Network and BRICS Startup Innovation Fund to help young businesses and drive innovation across member countries.
The group also agreed on a plan to work together more closely in areas like clean energy, MSMEs, logistics, and startups under the "New Industrial Revolution" partnership.
Goyal signs India SACU PTA terms
India's commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal used the event to meet with leaders from South Africa, Brazil, and Egypt, discussing trade and economic cooperation, including the signing of terms of reference for India-SACU PTA and early conclusion of negotiations, and ways to team up on critical minerals, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and economic growth.
These talks are part of India's push for stronger global connections ahead of hosting the next big BRICS Trade Ministers's Meeting.
