The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed on September 14, 2026, due to Ganesh Chaturthi. Trading in the equity and equity derivative segments will be suspended for the day. The holiday is part of a larger list of stock market holidays for 2026 published on the BSE website.

Which segments will be closed?
Along with the equity and equity derivative segments, other trading segments such as currency derivatives segments & NDS-RST and Tri-Party Repo segments will also remain closed on September 14.
However, it's worth noting that the commodity derivatives segment and Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) segment will be closed during the first half of the day but resume trading from 5:00pm onward.
