Overall earnings dropped despite higher fuel exports
Even though India exported more fuel overall, earnings dropped to $3.3 billion (down from $3.8 billion last year) because global crude oil prices fell sharply.
Exports likely to keep climbing
With refinery upgrades finishing soon and more expansion at places like Visakhapatnam and Gujarat, India's set to ramp up production and imports even further in the second half of 2025—so export numbers could keep climbing.
