Karnataka bets big on deeptech startups with ₹600cr fund

Karnataka just announced a massive ₹400 crore investment for deeptech startups, teaming up with top venture capital firms.
The news dropped at the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025, where over 11,000 attendees, including founders, investors, and industry leaders, gathered—making it clear the state wants to keep its title as India's Deeptech and Innovation Capital.

ELEVATE program hits new milestone

The government also picked 143 new startups for its flagship ELEVATE program—the biggest batch so far.
With this, ELEVATE has now backed 1,084 startups (390 from outside Bengaluru), showing they're serious about supporting innovation across the state.

Ambitious plans: 25,000 startups by 2030

Karnataka unveiled its Startup Policy 2025-30 with a budget of ₹518.27 crore.
The goal? Help launch 25,000 startups statewide—including at least 10,000 outside Bengaluru.
