Meesho taps Meta veteran Mohit Rajani to lead product division
Indian e-commerce start-up, Meesho, has appointed former Meta executive Mohit Rajani as its new Chief Product Officer (CPO). In his new role, Rajani will be responsible for leading Meesho's product organization, supervising the product management, design, and analytics teams. This strategic hire follows the departure of Kirti Varun Avasarala in January, after a four-year tenure with the company.
Rajani's journey to Meesho
Prior to joining Meesho, Rajani held significant positions at Instagram, Facebook (now Meta), and Google. His most recent role was with software company Carta in San Francisco, where he spearheaded the development of new generative AI-enabled products. For his new role at Meesho, Rajani will relocate to Bengaluru.

Rajani expressed his enthusiasm about joining Meesho, stating that the company's mission to democratize internet commerce aligns with his passion for creating impactful products. He is eager to collaborate with Meesho's team in developing innovative solutions that benefit millions of Indians. His expertise in ad monetization from his time at Instagram and Facebook Messenger is expected to significantly contribute to Meesho's revenue generation strategies.
