Meet the youngest self-made female billionaire in India
Anjali Sardana, just 23 and founder of Bengaluru-based Pronto, has made waves with Pronto, a startup she launched in April 2025 to connect people with instant household help.
In less than a year, Pronto reached a $100 million valuation after landing $25 million in fresh funding this March.
Anjali's journey
With a biology degree from Georgetown (graduated in 2025), Anjali got her start at Bain Capital and 8VC.
Inspired by her research into India's informal labor market, she built Pronto to make finding reliable house-help much easier for urban Indians.
Funding and future plans
Pronto's journey began in a tiny Gurgaon office where the team literally slept on the floor to keep things running smoothly.
Now they handle about 18,000 bookings every day across more than 10 cities, including Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
Anjali still owns 40% of the company; Glade Brook Capital Partners holds around 15%.
