Perplexity AI just made its Comet browser free for all users, aiming to broaden access to productivity tools.
Comet works as your personal assistant, taking care of things like drafting emails and scheduling meetings without you having to lift a finger.

Subscription model for news content

Alongside the free version, there's a new $5/month Comet Plus subscription that brings in news from big names like CNN and The Washington Post.
Publishers who provide content will get a share of a $42.5 million revenue pool, based on how much their content gets used.
CEO Aravind Srinivas says Comet could even help teams do more with fewer hires, making work life a bit easier.
