Quick commerce apps are now all about gadgets, fashion, and beauty
Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, and other quick commerce platforms aren't just about groceries anymore—they're putting more focus on high-margin stuff like electronics, fashion, and beauty products.
These categories now make up 20-25% of their sales (up from under 10% two years ago), with Swiggy Instamart racking up ₹1,800 crore in non-grocery sales last quarter and Zepto pulling in ₹300-350 crore in monthly sales.
New features and sales to keep you shopping
To ride this wave, Zepto launched Super Mall for non-grocery finds and is adding more electronics and cosmetics—think virtual try-ons for apparel and cosmetics.
Swiggy's Instamart is also running big promos like the Quick India Movement sale to push home needs and gadgets.
All these moves are meant to boost your order size (and ad revenue), as these platforms adapt to current market demands.
