Reliance Industries shareholders approve making ammonium nitrate and explosives
Business
Reliance Industries (RIL) just got the green light from shareholders to step into some new territory, including making ammonium nitrate, explosives, fertilizers, and agrochemicals.
The decision was finalized on August 20 and shared in a stock exchange update the next day.
Reliance will update MOA for agrochemicals
To make this expansion official, Reliance will update its Memorandum of Association (MOA) so it can produce and sell things like ammonia, nitric acid, different types of ammonium nitrate, plus a range of synthetic and natural fertilizers.
These products are aimed at both Indian and international markets.
