Reliance, Meta partner to launch AI services for Indian enterprises
Business
Reliance Industries and Meta (yep, Facebook's parent company) are teaming up to launch Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Ltd (REIL), a new venture focused on building AI services for businesses in India.
Meta's Facebook Overseas has picked up a 30% stake, while Reliance holds the other 70%. Together, they've invested ₹855 crore to kick things off.
REIL will use Meta's Llama models
REIL was set up on October 24, 2025, and will use Meta's open-source Llama AI models along with Reliance's digital reach to deliver AI tools for all kinds of enterprises.
The goal? Make advanced AI more accessible across industries and help speed up India's AI adoption—no extra government approvals needed.
