Restaurant management software Petpooja raises $15.5 million

Business

Petpooja, the restaurant management software company, just raised $15.5 million (₹137 crore) in Series C funding led by Dharana Capital, with backing from Ashish Gupta and Urban Company's co-founders Abhiraj Singh Bhal and Varun Khaitan.
This is their first funding after a gap of four years, bumping their valuation up to about ₹910 crore ($103 million).

Petpooja's journey and current operations

Started in 2011 as a B2B food delivery service, Petpooja now offers cloud-based billing and management tools for small and mid-sized restaurants.
They serve over 100,000 restaurants across India, UAE, and South Africa—and handle about a quarter of all online orders on Zomato and Swiggy.

Plans for the new funding and financial performance

The fresh funds will help ramp up product expansion with more AI-driven automation and better customer support.
In FY2024, Petpooja grew revenue by 43% to ₹76 crore while cutting losses to ₹13.4 crore.
With this round, Dharana Capital owns an 18.62% stake and the company's total funding has crossed ₹185 crore so far.
