Silver ETFs see outflows for 1st time since late 2023
Business
For the first time in 27 months, Indian silver ETFs saw more money pulled out than put in.
In February 2026, investors withdrew ₹826 crore overall, as silver prices jumped and markets got shaky.
Even though ₹4,628 crore flowed in, redemptions hit ₹5,455 crore, showing how quickly investor moods can shift.
Silver's rise and gold's fall
Silver prices have been on a wild run: up 10% just in February after a huge 19% jump in January and big gains late last year.
Silver's surge coincided with a sharp drop in gold ETF inflows, which fell from ₹24,039.96 crore in January to ₹5,255 crore in February.
